We wish you a great new journey around the sun in 2024! A year that will also see the release of Empire in Dust's new album RIVEN. Despite all the sad and horrible things that happen all over the world these days, we try to focus on the things we can control while hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. Stay safe and brave.
My dear friends in Israel. I am truly sorry that I am only writing this now. After the news of the first few days… I was so shocked and kind of frozen… It wasn't so long ago that we were celebrating together, celebrating good music and trying to mentally get around the rockets of May, just having a good time, and we had! I remember Torben saying something like "it seems no bomb hit this club so far. So, I guess, we can go on" after the second or third song... It was like that or similar. And how else to deal with it? — It was uncanny when we travelled your beautiful country with EiD and some friends during the days after the concert… using the red alert app to plan our routes, as if you were avoiding traffic jams, not missiles… And now everything is even worse. I wish you a lot of strength and that you can live save again soon, my thoughts are with you every day. — Manuel

Kibbutz Lotan is a settlement in the desert, right on the border with Jordan. It describes itself as an "Eco-Jewish intentional, collective community with a deep commitment to environmental protection," which sums it up well. We spent the night in mud buildings after we had a last "Goldstar" under the golden stars with our friends. The following day, our friends – and also Paula – started their journey home from Eilat airport… A couple of great and exciting days came to an end, the strong impressions still linger two weeks later. #exploring #Israel #travelreport
Because of the creepy sinkholes, you can no longer swim in the north of the Dead Sea. In the southern part it is still possible. Of course, we took the classic cliché newspaper photos, too – it's a must. 😉 After our floating stop and a few kilometers further, in the evening, we reached the Kibbutz Lotan... #exploring #Israel #travelreport
Masada. In the very early morning of May 17, around 4:30am, we set out to climb the snake trail to watch the sunrise over the desert and the Dead Sea. 🌄 It was worth it! In the afternoon, we went further south. I'll tell you about that a little later. 🙂 #exploring #Israel #travelreport
On Tuesday, two weeks ago, we visited the Old City of Jerusalem and listened to old stories... In the afternoon, we went to the Dead Sea... The scene - after 11 years - made me sad. Where did it go? 😔 We visited the Modern Ruins of Ein Gedi Spa, where people once took healing baths before it closed in 2013 because of dangerous sinkholes... 😱 In the evening, we reached our next stop: Masada. 🌅 #exploring #Israel #travelreport
Two weeks ago, on Monday 15 May, Empire in Dust + Friends continued their journey through Israel. Next stop: Jerusalem! 😊 We experienced modern art in Western Jerusalem and tried a beer from Ramallah in the Armenian Quarter. #exploring #Israel #travelreport

On 13 May, we played a concert in Tel Aviv-Jaffa. It was a great experience! The audience supported us like a group twice the size – thank you! 🥰 Also thanks to the crew at האזור - The Zone and to Yishai Sweartz for making this true. Heartfelt greetings to Subterranean Masquerade and of course to Diorama; it was an honor to share the stage with you! 🙂🙃 Here are some pictures and videos of our show to capture the atmosphere. – In the week after the concert, we explored Israel. 🇮🇱 We will give you impressions of our journey during the next days! 🐪
